Alex Bolotow, Chair, called the meeting of the WEC to order at
7:02 pm on August 4, 2021.

(Secretary), Erin Moran, and Arlene Weissman. Member Absent: Nick Foad. Guest: Ken Panza, Laura Ricci, via Zoom (Town
Board), Molly Lindsay and Eileen Banyra, via Zoom (Community Compost Co.).
Julia moved to adopt the
evening’s proposed agenda. David seconded the motion and the agenda was adopted

Announcements
Ken announced that as of June 30 all town
buildings are using hydroelectric power and the Town has decreased its carbon
footprint by 50 metric tons (mt).
Updates
Youth Center Energy Audit. The WEC agreed
to forward the report to the Town Board for review and action.
Critical Environmental Areas. The WEC will
propose “Zena Woods” as a designated CEA.
Hudsonia can assist in presenting this to the Town Board. The WEC also discussed increasing wetland and
stream buffers and proposing stricter, more accurate property surveys.
Composting. Molly Lindsay (Director of Operations) and Eileen
Banyra (Owner) of Community Composting presented an overview of local composting
options. It included the use of “drop-spots,”
costs and logistics for the residents of Woodstock.
New/Other Business
The WEC reviewed the protocol for members;
they can be replaced only if they formally resign their position.
