Supervisor McKenna recessed the Public Hearing
to the call of the Chair. Councilwoman
Ricci said thank you to all for everything that was said. Supervisor McKenna said he was grateful the
hearing was a civil and productive meeting, and he is proud of the Town. Councilman Heppner echoed the sentiment by
Laura Ricci. The public was advised
during the public hearings for STR’s that there would be frequent reviews of
the law and now is review time. The Town
needs to find out how to strike a balance and need a “pause” to figure it
out. Supervisor McKenna said the Town
has received a staggering amount of STR permit applications. Councilman Rose thanked the Petersen family
for keeping the Lasher property as it was for so long. He also feels the Town should purchase it at
full asking price. Deputy Supervisor
Maria Elena thanked the Townspeople for their collaboration and hopefully it
will continue during the moratorium process.
