·         Open the Meeting

The meeting began at 5:35 pm.

·         Adopting the Agenda

Conor made a motion to adopt the Agenda, Jeff seconded. Motion passed.

·         Approve Minutes from 6/8/20

Laura made a motion to approve the minutes, Conor seconded. Motion passed.

·         We discussed Steve Romine’s planned presentation from lawyer Andrew Campanelli, where Andrew plans to share his view of actions towns and municipalities can take to protect themselves from unwanted and harmful technologies such as 5G. Conor and Laura both plan to attend. Ed has time constraints and is unlikely to be able to attend.

·         Our Woodstock Housing Committee guests Kirk Ritchey and Susan Goldman presented their Housing findings as they relate to Woodstock Zoning Law.

·         The Housing Committee meets once a month, the fourth Wednesday of the month, 5:00-6:30 pm.

·         Kirk and Susan reviewed with us Woodstock’s housing issues, goals, and ideas. Please reference the documents Laura sent to the Zoning Revision Committee in a 7/13/20 email, subject: Fwd: Housing Committee Documents / 3 attachments.

·         The Zoning Revision Committee and the Housing Committee plan to create a Subcommittee to meet to address Housing in the Woodstock Zoning Law. Subcommittee members from the Zoning Revision Committee are Conor Wenk, Jeff Collins and Laura Ricci. Subcommittee members from the Housing Committee are expected to be Susan Goldman, Deborah Dewan, and Urana Kinlin. Those names will be confirmed by the Housing Committee.

·         Topics for our next meeting – 7/27/20

David Laks plans to join our 7/27/20 meeting to discuss drones and how they may help Woodstock Zoning Law compliance.

 

 

·         Future meeting plans:

·         July: Invite Ken Panza as a Subject Matter Expert on Item 3 Natural Resources. Ed will invite Ken.

·         July: Invite David Laks to discuss Drone Photography for Item 4 Scenic Overlay. Conor will invite David.

·         August: Discuss Ed and David’s proposed Telecommunications Zoning Law changes. Ed noted there are many Zoning Law pages related to Telecommunications and did not commit a date that he and David will complete their proposed zoning law language.

·         TBD: For Item 1 Hamlet Area, work session to review the Planning Board’s proposed Neighborhood Commercial (NC) / Light Industrial (LI) changes to the zoning law. Please reference the proposed law that Laura sent on Feb 10, 2020.  Please let Laura know if you would like hard copies of this document.

·         Further review the Zoning Revision Committee Action Plan document to continue determining next steps for remaining items.

·         Adjourn

Conor made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Ed seconded. Motion passed. The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:55 pm.
