Bill McK stopped by also and further reassured our committee that our checklist will be followed. He has also already spoken to the WLC and now us.
- Secret City application for a temporary installation but more importantly starting their parade at the Comeau upper parking lot on 7/28/19. I added that the group has to congregate up near the house and not in the lot as they have in the past which made it difficult for others to use the lot. We approved 4 out of 4 for sending our recommendation to TBW. Jeff will scan and send to Bill M. and sent note to Chris Wells (organizer)
OLD BUSINESS:
- New committee member(s)- Erin Moran has shown interest in the Woodstock Environmental Commission and has said she would go to their next meeting. Jeff emailed Lisa Bonk and invited her to our next meeting and he will also send Lorin (copied to Bill) a note about our recommendation that he will put before the TBW.
- Dog attack on trails- Banning those dogs and or owners from property, we will need to advise the TBW that a protocol, Lorin will take our verbal request, JV reminded in email.
- Pat will sit down with Grace to finish up our manual so we may share it with the new member of our committee and with other town groups so that they know our mission and protocols.
- Walk trails next meeting if dry with the TBW, sent email to Lorin to invite for 4/8 at 4PM. We will discuss the following:
-(1) Trails condition report- Jim spoke of significant compaction in flat area leading to exposure of roots, all they need are chips. Other areas need stone where there is standing water. Others areas need drainage problems addressed by redirecting the water. Jim will prepare a draft letter to the TBW for help and funding and get it to Jeff. WLC wishes to see it and was asked to write a second letter for presentation -(2) Previous agreement about hazard tress on an ongoing, monthly basis. -(3) Soccer field overhangs -(4) Middle Meadow- Pat will ask Hudsonia about looking prior to the mow
