Minutes– May 12, 2014 – 4-6 PM

ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS:

--Meeting started 4:08PM, called to order by Terry FA

--In attendance from CSAC Terry FA, Grace M, Jim H, Kathy L, Jeff V, Richard H, Pat J, and Rosilind D liaison WLC, Jay W liaison TBW.

--Absent Ken P TBW.

We welcomed Marita Lopez-Mena, the new executive director of the Woodstock Land Conservancy and filled her in on the processes we use.  CSAC members made introductions.

BUSINESS:

--Resolution and amendment of trail signage names-  Jim made motion to rescind 2/14 resolution and its amendment of 3/14 that named trails on the map/signage.   Grace seconded. Unanimous aye.  (Resolutions must be rescinded and remade not amended)  Jim made new resolution for the trail names on the map to be the Dave Corbett Loop, East Trail and Historical Society, Jeff seconded, all voted in favor, Grace abstained.  Second resolution was discussed but it was decided that the physical signage has already been presented and approved by the town and we will stick with that decision.  The signage committee went on to explain that the signs would be made using PPG paint - Pickling Spice (light green) - for the background and using black letters in the John Pike font.

--Best Practices – It was decided that we would meet next week same time, same place, to go over the wetlands grid with a post meeting field trip to see the Comeau Drive –Tinker Street intersection proposed changes including widening the entrance from Tinker Street.  Changing the entrance will change the placement of the new signage we are fabricating.

Parking lot - Jay W wants to ask for more rocks on the borders of the lot.

--Trails Crew report, WLC OKed proposal and it will start shortly.  The two bridges will need funds.  Wednesday, 6/18 Bearsville Theater musical show to fund project.  

--Jay reports that the last of the buried oil tanks are scheduled to be decommissioned or removed.  Fund raising on 6/14 at Community Center, music.

--Dog brochure is completed and Pat passed around copies for all of us.  They will be placed at the gate and distributed as needed.

-- Grace passed around a Kiosk design that is used at Mohonk.
