Minutes of Regular Meeting

                                                                              April 16, 2013

 

The regular meeting of the Commission for Civic design was called to order by Chairperson

David Ekroth at 6:01 pm.)

           

Present: David Ekroth, Richard Heppner, Hera, Joan Elliott

            Applicants: Les Walker, business owner, Jo Mesker,

                                building owner, Louis Deering (21 Tinker St. Assoc.)

           

            A quorum was present and the Agenda adopted.

 

 

Business:

             Case# 13-2 Little Apple Patio, 19 Tinker St.

 

            Proper application and detailed plans were presented,

            with all required points answered by applicants.

 

           

            CCD members did question the placing of a picket fence with pointed picket tops

            on a commercial site, as this style is generally for residential use.

            Also questioned was the number of signs on the business site: one on each of front and side windows,

            one hanging from bracket on face of  building, and a banner on side of building,

            as not in keeping with Zoning Law.

Bread Alone, Mill Hill Road: possible 2nd story addition

Holy Ascension Monastery, Cold Brook Road, continual design review

 

 

Other business:

 

Jill Fisher to discuss historic registry in Woodstock

 

Joan and CCD members to review previously submitted landscape design for the Town Hall front yard.
