Minutes of Regular Meeting

                                                                               June 3, 2013

The regular meeting of the Commission for Civic design was called to order by Chairperson

David Ekroth at 6:10 pm.

Present: David Ekroth, Richard Heppner, Hera, Cornelia Rosenblum, Joan Elliott           

            Applicant: Architect/Rep. for Mid Hudson Valley Credit Union, Paul Jankovitz

            A quorum was present and the Agenda adopted.

Business:

             Case# 13-03 Mid Hudson Valley Credit Union, 85 Mill Hill Rd.

            All points were met on application.  Architect made very good and clear presentation of plans and

             views of building renovation, addition, east wing removal and site.

            CCD suggested darker color on existing and any new “half-timber” features of building,

            Suggestions were made for more vertical divisions in the glass of new entry addition on West side,

            to reflect proportions of existing windows of the building. Roofline was discussed.

            Questions were asked about traffic problems of the intersection at Playhouse Lane and 212.

            Site plan for exterior, parking, landscape and lighting were reviewed and found to be

            satisfactory especially an improvement to walkway in front of building connecting to bridge

            walkway towards Bradley Meadow.

Case Reviews-Pending:

            Landau Grill on Mill Hill Rd., front porch renovations

            Bread Alone on Mill Hill Rd.: possible second storey addition.

            Holy Ascension Monastery, Cold Brook Rd., continual design review.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
